The reverse is gold toned with and engine turned vertical stripes design. In very good condition - there are a few small marks to the reverse, and the catch is a little tarnished. There is a black mark to the mirror, a thin line approx 1.4cm long. Hinge and catch are all in good order. Puff and sifter have not been used. Inside the powder well lid has the \"Compact In Hand\" logo. Lid is stamped with Patent numbers, FOREIGN PATS PENDING and MADE IN ENGLAND.\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003cbr\u003e\nBox measures 11.5cm x 11.5cm. It has a sticker for M.G.Bennett jewellers, Letchworth.  Outside is in very good condition and hinges are secure, it snaps shut securely. The inside is very aged and discoloured in places. In very good condition; there are 2 tiny chips to the painted lid, this has not shown up well on the photos but the gold metal base does show through. Light surface wear overall to the exterior.
