Circa 1920/30 cicada brooch made from a bronze/gold toned metal with black veined turquoise threaded body.
Approx. 35mm long. In very good condition with light surface wear all over including some light scratches to the legs/antennae and visible discolouration to the glue on the underneath. The antennae are bent to very slightly different angles. All of the aforementioned is only visible upon close inspection and does not affect the appearance of the brooch when it is being worn. The wings and body were originally enamelled and this has almost all worn away and the pin is quite hard to open and close.
