A gold plated sterling silver and enamel antique brooch which is an Egerton arms shield variation on the Duke of Sutherland's family coat of arms. It features the family motto, 'Sic Donec - Thus Until'.
It measures approximately 24mm tall and 21mm wide. It is hallmarked sterling silver, Birmingham, 1931. Made by George Kenning & Son.
Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings. There is some patina and light marks and wear.
