Antique silver mourning brooch with floral design to the front and removal panel to the reverse.
Approx. 42mm wide. In very good condition with light surface wear and heavy patina to the reverse. The removable glass panel is present although it feels as though it feels very lightweight and may possibly have been replaced with a Perspex panel. There is some dust etc behind the panel but I have not removed it so as not to disturb the fabric and cardboard liner. The frame of the panel is stamped with maker's mark of Cashmore & Mol and a patent number. It fits secure but has a little movement. Main body of brooch is hallmarked for silver, Birmingham 1886 and stamped with maker's mark JWJ to the reverse and lion passant to the front.
