A very unusual oversized jasper ring. The main body of the ring is made from 2 separate pieces of jasper, a larger piece of snowflake jasper and a smaller piece of black jasper. They sit together but do not meet snugly, there is a small gap between them. The top of both stones has been left raw, with the natural uneven surface including some chips to to the girdle left in place. The edges have been polished. The face of the ring measures approx 3cm North to South. To the snowflake section is a polished oval cabochon of black jasper, approx. 1cm in length, set in patinaed silver. The reverse of the ring is an ornate geometrical design in silver, set upon a split silver shank. The silver has darkened and has patches of patina patches.
