Late Victorian gold open bar brooch with 3 milgrain bezel set purple faceted amethysts flanked top and bottom with a small seed pearl, in it's original dark blue antique presentation box.
Approx. 4.7cm wide; amethysts each approx. 3mm.
Brooch is in very good condition with light surface wear. Stamped 9ct. The central amethyst has a couple of very tiny chips visible under magnification but they are not detrimental to it's appearance. The pin is not gold. There is a little hoop where there may have originally been a safety chain.
Box is very worn both inside and out with rusty hinges and staining to the interior.
