An unusual and very pretty extra long single strand costume pearl necklace. The pearl beads have a lovely and unique shimmery two tone warn golden/bronze coating which gives the appearance of almost changing colour depending on the light. They are individually hand knotted and the necklace screws shut with a barrel clasp.
Circa 1930/40. Measure a generous 52 inches long (approx) so can be looped around a few times.
Pearl beads are approx. 7mm and in very good condition with light surface wear. String is good and secure; it looks to be thinning a little at the clasp (please see close up photos) therefore I would suggest that to be on the cautious side these are for occasional gentle wear rather than everyday beads.
