A vintage simulated pearl necklace in a Lotus pearls box.
Double stranded and closed with a hook hidden inside a silver tone diamante set clasp - quite a few of the stones are missing. Stamped MADE IN ENGLAND to the reverse. Pearls are quite worn with some discolouration to the centres where they are strung and the ones nearest the clasp in particular have wear to the coating. They are still very pretty and attractive when worn.
This is a close fitting necklace suitable for someone with a thinner neck, the shortest strand measures approx. 14 inches (including clasp).
Box is approx. 10 inches wide. It has surface wear to outside, particularly to the bottom, and discolouration and indentations to fabric inner. It is worn around the hinges and does not close 100% flush. Pearls do not fit neatly and so this may not have been the original box.
